The Genetic Park Store Policies Thank you for your interest in The Genetic Park. Please read the following policies carefully before making a purchase. By purchasing an animal from The Genetic Park, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. General Policy The Genetic Park is a hobby-based ball python breeding project located in the Canadian Prairies. My focus is on producing healthy, well-established animals through responsible husbandry and ethical breeding practices. Every animal offered for sale is feeding consistently and is deemed healthy to the best of my knowledge before being listed. All listing prices are in USD unless mentioned otherwise All sales are considered final unless otherwise stated in these policies. Payment Methods Accepted payment methods include: * E-Transfer (Canada) * Wire Transfer * PayPal Friends & Family * WISE Animals must be paid in full before they are shipped or delivered. Payment Plans Payment plans may be available on a case-by-case basis. A minimum non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to hold an animal and initiate a payment plan. Payment plan terms will be agreed upon before the sale and may vary depending on the purchase amount and individual circumstances. Failure to make payments according to the agreed schedule, without providing at least two weeks’ notice and communication beforehand, may result in cancellation of the payment plan at my discretion. In such cases, the animal will be relisted for sale and all monies paid, including deposits and previous payments, will be forfeited and considered non-refundable. I understand that unexpected situations arise and will do my best to work with buyers who maintain open communication. Shipping Within Canada Canadian buyers are responsible for all shipping costs. Shipping rates are determined at the time of purchase, as carrier rates and fuel surcharges may fluctuate. Animals will be shipped through Reptile Express Canada and held for pickup at the buyer’s nearest eligible FedEx hub whenever possible. Buyers are responsible for picking up their shipment promptly upon arrival. Animals should be collected within two (2) hours of arrival notification whenever possible. Failure to pick up an animal in a timely manner may void any live arrival guarantee. Shipping to the United States The Genetic Park can ship to the United States through Reptile Express Canada. U.S. export dates will only be announced when animals are available and listed for sale. At this time, U.S. purchases are limited to animals totaling $1,000 USD or greater. The buyer is responsible for all shipping, brokerage, export, import, permit, inspection, and related fees associated with the shipment. Shipping and export costs vary and will be quoted at the time of purchase based on current Reptile Express rates. Weather and Shipping Conditions The safety of the animal always comes first. The Genetic Park reserves the right to delay shipment due to unsuitable weather conditions, carrier delays, holidays, or other circumstances that may compromise the animal’s safety. Shipment dates may be adjusted as necessary to ensure safe transit. Live Arrival Guarantee All animals are guaranteed to arrive alive and in good health when shipped under approved conditions. In the unlikely event of a DOA (Dead on Arrival), the buyer must: * Notify Genetic Park within one (1) hour of delivery or pickup. * Provide clear photos and/or video evidence of the unopened shipping box and animal. Failure to provide timely notification may void the guarantee. Health Guarantee Animals are guaranteed to be healthy and feeding consistently prior to shipment. Any visible illness or health concern must be reported within 48 hours of arrival. After 48 hours, the buyer assumes all responsibility for the animal’s care, husbandry, health, treatment, and survival. Because husbandry practices vary between keepers, The Genetic Park cannot guarantee the future health, feeding response, breeding success, temperament, or lifespan of any animal after arrival. Sex and Genetics Guarantee All animals are accurately sexed and identified to the best of my ability. Any recessive, heterozygous, possible heterozygous, or visual genetic identification is made honestly and in good faith based on known pairings and available information. If an animal has been shed tested, the listing caption will clearly indicate that it was shed tested and identify the laboratory or service that performed the testing. In the event of a proven error regarding sex or genetics, we will work with the buyer to determine a fair resolution. Refusal of Sale The Genetic Park reserves the right to refuse any sale at any time for any reason. Animal welfare will always take priority over completing a sale. Abandoned Purchases Animals that are not paid for according to agreed terms, or are otherwise abandoned due to lack of communication, may be relisted without refund of any monies previously paid. Liability The Genetic Park is not responsible for injuries, damages, losses, veterinary expenses, breeding outcomes, or legal issues resulting from ownership, transport, or care of purchased animals after they have been delivered to the buyer. It is the buyer’s responsibility to understand and comply with all local, provincial, state, and federal laws regarding reptile ownership and importation.
