About Designer DNA
Designer DNA specializes in quality Carpet Pythons and select reptiles. Our goal is to provide healthy, accurately represented animals while maintaining excellent customer service and ethical business practices.
By purchasing from Designer DNA, the buyer acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions.
Payment
Designer DNA accepts the following forms of payment:
Square Invoices (Credit/Debit Cards)
Zelle
Cash App
Cash (for in-person transactions only)
Payment in full is required before an animal is released or shipped unless a payment plan has been agreed upon in writing.
Payment Plans
Payment plans may be available on select animals valued at $500 or more.
A minimum 25% non-refundable deposit is required.
Payment plans must be completed within 30 days unless otherwise agreed.
Animals remain the property of Designer DNA until paid in full.
Failure to complete a payment plan may result in forfeiture of all deposits and payments made.
Deposits & Holds
Designer DNA may hold an animal with a non-refundable deposit.
Deposits are non-refundable.
Deposits may be transferred to another available animal at Designer DNA's discretion.
Animals will not be held without a deposit unless otherwise agreed.
Returned Payments & Chargebacks
By purchasing from Designer DNA, the buyer agrees that all payment disputes should first be addressed directly with Designer DNA.
Fraudulent chargebacks, payment reversals, or attempts to retain possession of an animal while recovering payment may be pursued through all available legal remedies.
Designer DNA reserves the right to refuse future sales to any customer who initiates a payment dispute without first attempting to resolve the matter directly.
Animal Representation
Designer DNA strives to represent every animal as accurately as possible.
Photos shown are of the actual animal unless otherwise noted.
Sex, genetics, hatch date, feeding history, and other information are provided to the best of our knowledge.
Coloration and pattern may change as animals mature.
Minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the health or quality of the animal may not be specifically noted.
Health Guarantee
All animals sold by Designer DNA are guaranteed to be:
Healthy at the time of shipment or pickup.
Feeding consistently unless otherwise disclosed.
Free from any known illness or injury at the time of sale.
Because reptiles are living animals and proper care varies between keepers, no long-term health guarantee is provided after delivery.
Live Arrival Guarantee
Designer DNA guarantees live arrival when the following conditions are met:
The shipment is delivered on the first delivery attempt.
Someone is available to receive the package immediately upon delivery, or the shipment is held for pickup at the carrier's facility.
Shipping conditions are deemed safe by Designer DNA.
The animal is inspected immediately upon arrival.
In the unlikely event of a Dead on Arrival (DOA):
Designer DNA must be notified within one (1) hour of delivery.
Clear photographs and an unedited video of the unopened package and animal must be provided.
Failure to provide documentation within the required timeframe voids the guarantee.
Designer DNA reserves the right to provide a replacement animal, store credit, or refund at our sole discretion.
Shipping
Animals are shipped via overnight service only.
Shipping dates are determined based on weather conditions and carrier availability.
Designer DNA reserves the right to delay shipment if conditions are unsafe for the animal.
Shipping fees are non-refundable once an animal has been shipped.
Flat-rate shipping promotions apply only within the continental United States.
The buyer is responsible for ensuring the shipping address is correct and that someone is available to receive the package.
Genetics & Sex Guarantee
Designer DNA guarantees the sex and genetics of every animal to the best of our ability.
Any concerns regarding sex or genetics must be reported within seven (7) days of receipt of the animal.
Claims made after seven (7) days may not be honored.
Buyer Responsibilities
The buyer is responsible for:
Understanding and complying with all local, state, and federal laws regarding ownership of the animal.
Providing appropriate housing, temperatures, humidity, and husbandry.
Being available to receive the shipment.
Inspecting the animal immediately upon arrival.
Failure to provide proper husbandry or failure to promptly inspect the animal upon arrival voids all guarantees.
Breeding & Reproductive Guarantee
Designer DNA does not guarantee:
Future breeding success
Fertility
Reproductive performance
Hatch rates
Sex ratios
Temperament
Adult coloration
Adult size
Animals are sold as healthy representatives of their species and genetics at the time of sale.
Returns & Cancellations
All sales are final.
Designer DNA does not offer refunds for:
Buyer's remorse
Changes in personal circumstances
Failure to research proper care requirements
Inability to legally own the animal in the buyer's location
Deposits and payment plan payments are non-refundable.
Exceptions may be made solely at Designer DNA's discretion.
Limitation of Liability
Designer DNA's liability shall never exceed the original purchase price of the animal.
Designer DNA shall not be responsible for:
Veterinary expenses
Breeding losses
Lost profits
Emotional distress
Indirect or consequential damages of any kind
Right to Refuse Sale
Designer DNA reserves the right to refuse a sale for any reason, including concerns regarding animal welfare, legality, or buyer conduct.
Acceptance of Terms
Submission of payment constitutes acceptance of all terms outlined in this policy.
