Trust means more than a badge
A Verified Seller badge gives buyers an additional signal about who they are contacting. Sale-linked reviews provide feedback connected to a completed transaction. Seller terms are shown for buyers to review and acknowledge when using Buy Now, while reporting, blocking, and moderation tools give the community ways to address unwanted or concerning activity.
These tools help people make more informed decisions. They do not replace reviewing the listing, asking questions, or reading the seller’s terms.
Verified sellers
Seller badges in three places. Both sides see verification in messages.
Every Verified Seller has completed an identity and address check through Square or ReptileAds’ free manual process. The badge appears on marketplace listing tiles, beside the store name on the listing page, and on the seller’s store page. In messages, buyers and sellers can each see whether the person they’re talking with is verified.
Verify through Square
For a low $3 fee, Square verifies your identity and address through its identity-verification process. Choose Square if you’d prefer to complete this check with an established verification provider.
Verify with ReptileAds
You may choose to verify for free through ReptileAds. Our team reviews the front and back of your driver’s license, a selfie holding it, and mail showing your name at your claimed business address.
We treat personally identifiable information with care. Team members who review manual verification documents are trained to handle them sensitively. We use the documents to confirm identity and address, then do not retain copies of the ID, selfie, or proof of address after review. Your Verified badge means you took an additional step to show buyers who you are and where you do business.

Comments let you ask questions right on a listing when the seller has them enabled. For a private discussion, message the seller directly. Keep questions, answers, and sale terms on the platform so there is a record if an issue comes up. If communication moves to calls, texts, or other off-site channels, our ability to review what happened and help may be limited.

Use the payment setup you trust
Buy Now processes payment through the seller’s connected provider, such as Square, Stripe, or PayPal. If the seller has connected more than one, you can choose which one to use. The activity is recorded in the seller’s sales records.
Make an Offer
A real commitment to purchase
When a buyer submits an offer, they confirm that if the seller accepts it, they agree to purchase the animal. Sellers can report buyers who do not follow through; repeated violations may lead to account action.
Payment Plans
Stay on top of due dates
Payment Plans help buyers and sellers track installments, due dates, and reminders. The plan and related activity are recorded so the arrangement is easier to follow.
Buy Now includes seller-defined terms. Each seller can configure the conditions they want buyers to review for a sale. Before completing Buy Now, buyers must acknowledge the seller’s required terms. That creates a clear record of the conditions shown at checkout while letting each seller set terms suited to their business and animal sales. Payment goes directly through the seller’s connected provider; if more than one is available, the buyer can choose. Read the Terms of Service for ReptileAds’ role in a transaction.
If an issue or chargeback comes up, the sale record can be requested and may help the people involved review what happened.
Accountability after the sale
Reviews come from completed sales
After a Buy Now sale, both the buyer and seller are automatically invited to review each other. For a sale completed another way, the seller marks it complete and both parties are invited. Buyers can review sellers, and sellers can review buyers.
That gives future buyers and sellers transaction-linked feedback to consider alongside listing details, store information, and verification status.

When an account is restricted, we notify the affected user. They can contact ReptileAds Support to appeal or request a review.

Control who reaches you and what you see
Sellers can block buyers who contact them through messages. Buyers can block a seller from the store page, and that seller’s listings disappear from their Marketplace view.
