Emerson's Exotics Store Policy By purchasing from Emerson's Exotics, you agree to the following terms and conditions. We prioritize the health and safety of our animals above all else, and these policies ensure a safe, transparent transaction for both parties. 1. Health & Sexing Guarantee Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG): We guarantee that your animal will arrive alive and healthy. In the unlikely event of a DOA (Dead on Arrival), you must notify us within 1 hour of delivery (or hub pickup) with video proof. Health Window: We provide a 7-day health guarantee on all established captive-bred animals, provided that proper husbandry setup is verified. Sexing: If an animal is listed as "Definite Male" or "Definite Female," we guarantee the sex. Animals listed as "Probable" or "Pore Sexed" (especially young Crested/Gargoyle geckos) are our best educational estimate and are not guaranteed. 2. Shipping Policies Carrier & Routing: All animals are shipped overnight via Redline Shipping (FedEx Express) Monday through Wednesday only. Weather Restrictions: Shipping is strictly dependent on temperature. We will only ship when temperatures are between 40°F and 90°F at both the origin facility, the main hub, and your destination. We prefer shipping to a FedEx Staffed Ship Center (Hub) for pickup, as it is the safest environment for the animal. Delays: We are not responsible for carrier delays, but we pack every animal using specialized reptile heat packs or cold packs to safeguard against transit delays. 3. Payment, Holds, & Deposits Payment Plans: Available on animals priced at $250 or more. Holds & The NRD: A 25% deposit is required to place an animal on hold, with the remaining balance due within 30 days. Default Terms: This 25% deposit is non-refundable ONLY if the buyer backs out of the sale or fails to pay the balance within the agreed 30 days. If the transaction goes through smoothly, 100% of your deposit goes directly toward the final purchase price of the animal. 4. Returns & Tail Loss Tail Loss: Geckos (especially Crested and Gargoyle geckos) can drop their tails during the stress of shipping. This does not affect the health, value, or breeding capability of the animal. Therefore, no refunds or discounts will be given for tail loss during transit. All Sales Final: Due to biosecurity risks to our facility, we do not accept returns on live animals once they have been safely delivered.
