This listing is for a baby male Western Hognose (Heterodon nasicus) offered by Red Onion Reptiles, a verified seller based in Monette, Arkansas. The snake was born on October 3, 2025, and currently weighs 30 grams. The photos accompanying the listing are confirmed to show the exact animal being sold.
Genetically, this hognose is described as Arctic (an incomplete dominant trait), Albino (recessive), and het for Sable (also recessive). This combination of visual and hidden genetic traits suggests potential for producing a range of morphs if bred with compatible partners down the line, though no breeding claims are made and the animal is not listed as a proven breeder. The snake was self-produced by the seller. No specific feeding history or diet details beyond "appropriate feeder item" were provided, so buyers may want to ask about current feeding response and schedule.
The animal is priced at $400 USD. Shipping is available under an "Other" method, though specific shipping details were not elaborated on in the listing, and the seller does not ship internationally. A range of payment options are accepted, including credit card, PayPal, Cash App, money order, bank transfer, debit card, and Venmo.
Prospective buyers should confirm the exact shipping method and any associated costs or timelines with the seller directly, as well as the snake's current feeding history and establishment on prey items. Buyers may also wish to verify the snake's length, as this was not specified, and clarify any expectations around genetic outcomes given the het Sable status, since this trait would only be visually expressed in future generations under appropriate breeding conditions.
