GENE IDENTIFICATION Gene identification varies in complexity; while some are easily discernible, others pose challenges. Identifying all genes in animals is always theoretical and based on our collective knowledge and experience, and striving for accuracy. However, the definitive confirmation of genes relies on breeding animals, offering the most reliable method of validation. Although in some cases non-recessive genes pose certain challenges to identify, recessive genes are always guaranteed either via lineage tracking or shed testing. The latter will always be mentioned in the ads, if applicable.
