CBB Selayar Gonyosoma jansenii Babies

This listing offers a captive-bred-born baby male Selayar Black Tail Ratsnake (Gonyosoma jansenii), produced by the seller from their own pair, Nyx and Erebos. The clutch was laid January 4, 2026, incubated for 144 days, with hatching completed by day 150. The seller notes this is the black Selayar form of jansenii, and states that contacts knowledgeable about Gonyosoma indicated they were not aware of a US breeding of this black form in at least a decade. The seller also mentions that this black form is regarded by some as potentially a separate species rather than a color variant, though this has not been scientifically confirmed, so it remains classified under the same Latin name.

The animal pictured is the exact individual being sold, with five photos provided. No weight or length is given. According to the seller, the snake is feeding on live mouse fuzzies every 5 to 7 days and took its first frozen-thawed meal on September 19. The seller clarifies that there are no females currently available from this clutch and asks that buyers not inquire about them.

The snake is located in Waller, Texas, and priced at $1,800 USD, listed as firm. Shipping options include a shipping price range, local pickup, or other arrangements to be discussed, including potential delivery at the Tinley Park NARBC show. The seller states they will not ship in extreme heat, defined as over 95°F by reptile shipping company standards. The seller accepts a range of payment methods including credit card, bank transfer, cash, Cash App, Google Pay, debit card, Venmo, and Zelle, and lists Canada and Germany as export destinations, though international shipping overall is marked as not offered.

Prospective buyers may want to confirm the exact hatch date, current feeding consistency and response to frozen-thawed prey going forward, specific shipping logistics and costs, and the seller's verification status, as this account is not currently marked as verified on the platform.
